Abby's Birthday

For Abby's 8th birthday, we decided against having a big party, mainly because we live about 30 miles from school, church, and all our new friends. Instead, Abby got to invite her two special friends over for a sleepover celebration.

Side note: Miranda & Andrea are sisters, and have become close friends with my girls. Andrea is a few months older than Brianna and they share similar interests & have the same demeanor--very polite, soft spoken, responsible first-borns. Miranda and Abby are in the same class & hit it off on the very first day of school--Miranda's family had just moved from Portland this past summer, her mom works at our school, and they also attend our church. The younger two also share similar personalities--they are both goofy, lively, crazy girls that are a bit scattered and sloppy, but very loving and always good for a laugh. We have indeed made good friends with their family. :)

Anyway...for Abby's birthday, we took her 2 friends home with us. They had dinner, played games, made ice-cream sundaes & watched the Hannah Montana 3-D movie. In the morning, we took all the kids to bowl & play laser tag. Brian brought them all in as Nate & I watched the scores from outside. It was a pretty fun time, even if Abby didn't have a "party".
